Our vision
To see people inside and outside prison renewed by Jesus Christ and His Word—living with freedom, dignity, responsibility, and purpose—and to see families faithfully pass the torch of faith from one generation to the next.
Freedom in Christ. Hope for every generation.
WHO WE ARE
Freedom to the Captives Ministry is a Christian ministry dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel, restoring hope, and equipping people to live in the freedom of Jesus Christ. Our calling reaches beyond prison walls: to those who are incarcerated, those rebuilding life after release, families carrying the burden of separation, and people held by the unseen chains of fear, shame, addiction, anger, bitterness, or hopelessness.
We believe every person bears the image of God. Neither a past mistake nor an injustice suffered can erase that dignity. In Christ, repentance opens a path to forgiveness, renewed thinking, restored purpose, and a new beginning. We also seek to strengthen families and guide children and young people to know God’s Word, make wise choices, and carry a living faith into the next generation.

To see people inside and outside prison renewed by Jesus Christ and His Word—living with freedom, dignity, responsibility, and purpose—and to see families faithfully pass the torch of faith from one generation to the next.
02
To proclaim the Gospel and equip people through biblical teaching, books, practical learning, pastoral guidance, and discipleship; to nurture repentance, renew minds, strengthen character, and help people rebuild their lives while preparing the next generation to walk faithfully with Christ.
We seek lasting change that takes root in the heart and becomes visible in everyday life: truth embraced, responsibility accepted, destructive habits challenged, relationships approached with wisdom, and faith put into practice. Our purpose is to help people grow into faithful family members, responsible neighbors, and people who bring hope to others.
Those seeking hope, those facing injustice, and those ready to take responsibility and begin again.
Those rebuilding their lives, relationships, and responsibilities after release.
Those carrying the pain of incarceration, separation, and the journey of restoration.
Anyone struggling with fear, shame, destructive habits, bitterness, or a loss of hope.
The next generation learning to know Christ, make wise choices, and build a living faith—and the adults who guide them.
Our ministry approach brings biblical truth together with practical steps for everyday life.
The Bible, devotional books, teaching materials, and workbooks that encourage prayer, reflection, and action.
Bible teaching and practical exercises that nurture renewed thinking, healthy choices, discipline, and life skills.
Discipleship, mentorship, and pastoral guidance that encourage faith, forgiveness, accountability, and reconciliation.
Encouragement for returning to family and community life, accepting responsibility, and becoming a positive influence.
FAITH THROUGH GENERATIONS
Faith Through Generations brings the same calling into the home: helping families keep God’s Word at the center and share a living faith with their children. We seek to equip the next generation to choose freedom in Christ, develop godly character, and become faithful witnesses in their own time.
Read Scripture together, ask honest questions, and connect biblical truth with everyday choices.
Let children see prayer, integrity, repentance, forgiveness, and love expressed in daily life.
Listen to young people, guide them with patience, and help them develop their own understanding and trust in Christ.
Encourage each generation to serve others, remember God’s faithfulness, and teach those who follow.
Scripture for this calling: Deuteronomy 6:6–7 · Psalm 78:4–7 · 2 Timothy 1:5

We seek to serve faithfully and care responsibly for what is entrusted to us.
Jesus Christ is the center of our ministry, and Scripture is our foundation for faith and service. Our bylaws identify the doctrinal foundation of the Ethiopian Gospel Believers’ Churches Council. The following beliefs guide our teaching and service.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our final authority for faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three coequal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless, bodily raised from the dead, and reigning at the right hand of the Father.
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work, not earned by our works.
We believe baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers for life and mission, follows salvation, and has speaking in tongues as its initial physical evidence.
We believe divine healing is provided through Christ’s atoning work and is sought through prayer in faith.
We look forward to Christ’s return, the resurrection and rapture of the Church, and His millennial reign.
We believe in the resurrection of all people and final judgment, with eternal life for believers and everlasting punishment for the lost.
